Gerrieke van Dam started to play the recorder with Magda de Jong. Since 2008 she studies with Heiko ter Schegget at the Utrechts Conservatorium. Gerrieke follows baroque-cello lessons with Elske Tinbergen. With both instruments she is participating in various ensembles, including Begeleidingsorkest Ars Musica and Ensemble Filomusica. She attended masterclasses with a.o. Kees Boeke, Bert Honig, Dorothea Winter and Conrad Steinmann.
